Lack of liquids, heat, humidity and air conditioning may lead to dehydration. The key is to compensate during non-fasting period:
1. Fluid requirements: 2 – 3 L/day for adults
2. After Iftar, aim for 6 to 8 cups and drink early morning
3. Limit caffeine – Caffeine is a diuretic which makes body passes more urine than usual and will make you dehydrated
4. Break your fast with one of the following:
• 2 cups of water
• Warm water + honey + fresh lemon
• Bowl of soup
• Milk or yogurt
