  • Retrograde Ejaculation

Normally, the sphincter of the bladder closes before ejaculation, forcing the semen to exit via the urethra. However, if the bladder sphincter is damaged, it fails to close and the sperm flow back in to the bladder and mix with urine. The good news is that in most cases of retrograde ejaculation, sperm can be successfully retrieved either through urine sample or through Testicular Sperm Aspiration (TESA).
